Love Dare Day 7.5: The God Hunt

It was suggested in the book The Friendships of Women by Dee Brestin that we all should keep a daily record (in a journal or on a pad by the refrigerator, etc) describing how you’ve “spied” God in your life that day. This could be anything from answered prayer or timing that seemed too perfect to be coincidence. Or, as you reflect on your day, you might remember a sunset that awed you or a friend who gave you comfort or grace. By keeping a notebook and mentally walking through your day, you are going to “spy” God where you might have missed Him.
I LOVE how INTENTIONAL this is! Think about it….. God intentionally sprinkles these tiny miracles throughout our days….. ABSOLUTELY we should be intentional about hunting for them….. and writing about them so as to have a constant reminder of his unfailing love for us!
Psalm 77:14
You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.
Psalm 105:5
Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced
Job 9:10
He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.
Think about your day today….. Go on a God Hunt in your mind and recall small miracles he sprinkled across your path…. just for you! I have been thinking about my list for today and it looks like this:
….a note of appreciation from my 17-year-old son, a lunch date with my 2 oldest sons, an encouraging call from a dear friend, my mom thanking God for me on my Facebook page, Yancy and Sparrow liking their Christmas gifts, my kids helped me with my chores today, I get to have a wonderful dinner with Vicky and friends.
I would love to see YOUR list! I dare you to intentionally go on this God Hunt and please share with me how God has blessed YOU uniquely today!

Starting my day INTENSIONALLY in the word, being able to take my kids to the park and enjoying this time off, a beautiful sunset. Setting up a lunch date tomorrow with some of the best friends a girl could ask for. God providing for my every need- as He does even when I’m not consciously acknowledging it.Amen!
